Benefits of Vermicompost

• It is rich in all essential plant nutrients.
• It helps in the overall plant health growth of new shoots/leaves. It improves the quality and life of the produce.
• It improves soil structure, texture, aeration, and water holding capacity and prevents soil erosion.
• It is rich in beneficial microflora such as P-solubilizers, cellulose, and decomposing micro-flora which enhance the decomposition of organic matter in the soil.

Application

In the case of potted plants, lightly loosen the top layer of soil and mix vermicompost with the soil. Water the plant immediately post-application. In the case of trees, it should be applied near the root zone area by the ring method i.e. dig a circular trench along the edges of the root zone (root zone is the noon shadow of the tree).
